Meet The Team
Co-Founder and Co-President
Spencer Good
I feel a call to end food insecurity, starting with my peers at Michigan State. While I study Political Theory & Constitutional Democracy, among other disciplines, I intend to pursue a career in domestic food policy. I strongly believe in the value of education and am thus resolved to care for students burdened by hunger and other food insecurities. When not in the classroom or on the grassroots frontlines, I enjoy cooking, football, leisure reading, and craft beer.
Advocacy Chair
Jay Lyon
My name is Jay Lyon and I am a senior in James Madison College. I’m double majoring in Political Theory and Constitutional Democracy (PTCD) and Social Relations and Policy (SRP). I have been a member of SFSC since it’s foundation and I am the advocacy chair for the organization. I have been working hard this past summer on our Hunger Free Campus Bill campaign, and I can’t wait to see the progress we make this year.
Service Chair
Olivia Heath
My name is Olivia Heath and I am the service chair of SFSC. I’m a senior studying social work and social relations and policy, with a minor in behavioral studies and social services. After graduating, I hope to pursue a career in community organizing and child welfare.
Marketing Director
Wes Kim
My name is Wes, and I’m a senior studying Dietetics at Michigan State. I have learned how food insecurity is critical in community nutrition issues and SFSC has been an outlet for me to enact change in my MSU and Lansing communities. I am passionate about teaching health through a nutritional-scope and I hope to become a registered dietitian in the future.
